Abstract

The violent acts that are present in family dynamics are been named in various ways and approached from different models, perspectives and methodological proposals, which limits their study. Given this, it was proposed to synthesize scientific publications on the conceptualization and effectiveness of interventions to reduce family violence. The investigation of the studies was carried out in MEDILE-ProQuest, PubMed and, Web of Science, following the guidelines of the PRISMA-NMA declaration, to evaluate the methodological quality, the checklist for experimental studies was used, as well the list of randomized and controlled trials. Eight studies were obtained, in which the conceptualization of violence depends on the subjects who participate in it. Regarding the effectiveness of the interventions the results are limited with some improvements in variables of interest, hence future studies arerequired that contribute to the understanding and reduction of family violence.
